- Delta is designed to be light in weight and streamlined in form, to simulate the engineering principles behind supersonic jets. In doing so, the stool becomes an exemplar of reductive design.

- To achieve this (and to commit fully to the idea aeronautical design) the stool was put through a series of exercises to eliminate unnecessary weight, remove features that would cause drag if tested in a wind tunnel, and reduce the number of components (just like in the aerospace sector, to make planes cheaper and easier to service).

- Delta’s 'front foot forward' stance, seat that tapers from front to back, and low poly surfaces all collude to create something that looks like it's travelling at speed whilst standing still.
